Our Mission
Here at Coastal Chatter, we define “chatter” as the joyful, positive noise that fuels communication in all of its forms. Every sound, from laughs to words, and every gesture from smiles to waves, contribute to meaningful connections. We believe that “chatter” is more than just conversation; it’s the heartbeat of human connection. To “chatter” means to engage, to share, and to express oneself freely— elements essential for building relationships and fostering understanding. Our mission is to empower individuals to express their thoughts, feelings, and ideas with confidence.
In a world where communication is key, we recognize the profound impact of expressing oneself. Whether it’s a child finding their words for the first time or an adult rediscovering their voice, every conversation counts.
Join us at Coastal Chatter, where we celebrate the beauty of expression and the joy of connection. Together, let’s create a community where everyone is heard and “chatter” is cherished.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
We do not accept insurance. Currently, we are private pay only.
Through private pay, we can offer more individualized, community-based, and family-centric care that prioritizes our client’s needs. We do not bill insurance for our services, and we are not in-network with any health insurance available. This is what allows us to avoid insurance-related restrictions such as session length and location, providing therapy where and when our clients need it most.
Please note: Some insurance companies will provide reimbursement (partial or full) for out-of-network providers. In order to support the related request for insurance, a superbill (receipt) is provided.
Payment options include credit/debit, cash, or check.

Consultations and welcome sessions are always free. At Coastal Chatter, we know this is not a “one-size-fits-all.” We want you to make sure the style of therapy, and the SLP, are a good fit for you and your family. Prior to an evaluation, we will answer your questions and see if this is the right fit for you during a scheduled call to discuss any concerns you may have. In addition to this, prior to scheduling your evaluation, we will meet in-person to get to know one another, answer any further questions, and check out one or more therapy sites.
Evaluations-
$250
The initial evaluation is completed to identify communication needs, as well as areas where support is needed. Evaluations include a phone consultation to address specific concerns and history, one or more appointments (based on need) for assessment and observation, and a comprehensive report.
Therapy Sessions-

$100
Treatment sessions are provided in-person at community sites. These sites may include the local park or playground, library, coffee shop, and many others.
